Nap Time with My New BFF

It's a dog's life!!

Identity Crisis

I'm a little bit country And I'm a little bit jazz and soul
I'm a little bit of Houston and New Orleans
With a little bit of rock 'n roll
I don't know if it's good or bad
But I know I love it so
I'm a little bit country
And I'm a little bit jazz and soul

Recent Arrival

To all the expectant mothers who read this blog (none that I currently know of) - forget all the old wive's tales of eating spicy food and getting pedicures to go in to labor. All you need is for your husband to create a blog and the child will quickly know that it is time to make an appearance.

Immediately after the creation of this blog (or about 5 hours) Camille went into labor. After a few hours at home, we decided it was time for a change of scenery and headed to the hospital. Upon arrival at Ocshner, Camille was only 1 cm but had been having steady contractions 3-6 minutes apart for 3 hours. Within 3 hours, she was at 4-5 cms.

The epideral came at about 4 a.m. along with the looney tunes for Camille. Life was good. After a long, restful and sedated nap, the pushing commenced. After a short 45 minutes of core muscle pilates exercises, the world welcomed Ezra Moyse Terk. His stats: 8 lbs, 4.8 oz and 21 inches long born at 1:16 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2008.

Here are his debut pictures (along with some of the proud mama and papa).
